1995

Radio Flyer was a week long collaboration. It started on April 9, 1995 and ended seven days later. Seven songs were written by April 15 and a show was put on at the Knights Of Columbus Hall in Arlington Hts., IL. It was promoted by Erik Bocek (then of Tetsuo, currently of Ghosts And Vodka). Cap'n Jazz and the Sky Corvair also played. The band recorded their seven songs the next day with Underdog Record's Robroy Campbell. The band is rumored to have ended because Alex Dunham wanted it to relocate to Washington, DC, but the rest of the band was unwilling. Dunham returned to DC and the rest of the members eventually formed Sweater Weather, which sounded nothing like Radio Flyer. The tape they recorded was passed around by friends for a couple years before the CD was finally released. After the release of the CD a tour was rumored to happen and a reunion show was booked at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago, but those plans all apparently fell through. Traluma ended up playing the planned reunion show. When Alex Dunham moved to Chicago, rumors of a reunion popped up again, but bassist Paul Obrecht has since moved to New Mexico.
